Before and After School

Free Childcare at the Intensive Learning Center

The Intensive Learning Center is proud to offer free before- and after-school enrichment opportunities for our TK–6th grade students. These programs provide a safe, welcoming place for students to learn, connect with friends, receive homework support, and enjoy engaging activities before and after the school day.

Families may enroll their child in the before-school program, after-school program, or both—at no cost.

Before School Program 

  • 6:30 a.m. – 7:30 a.m.
  • Provided by YMCA
  • 562-925-1292

Our free before-school childcare program is held in the ILC cafeteria. Students can start their day in a warm, supervised environment where they can play games, connect with friends, complete homework, and prepare for a successful school day.

YMCA staff are highly trained to create a safe and inclusive learning environment where every student feels welcomed and supported.

After School Program 

  • School Dismissal – 6:00 p.m. 
  • Provided by Think Together
  • 562-413-4248

Think Together offers meaningful academic support and enrichment activities for TK–6th grade students. The program provides a safe place for students after school while supporting working families and helping children continue learning beyond the classroom.

Program activities may include:

  • Homework assistance and academic support 
  • English language arts and math activities 
  • STEM learning opportunities 
  • Visual and performing arts 
  • Character development 
  • Physical activity and recreation 
  • Daily meals and enrichment activities 


Think Together’s engaging program helps students build confidence, strengthen academic skills, develop positive relationships, and stay connected to school.
