GATE
Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) extends education for ILC's gifted learners. Differentiated and compacted instruction provides enrichment opportunities for students within the classroom. GATE students at the ILC may choose to participate in Science Olympiads after school classes, with a highlighted activity of attending the Science Olympiads at Occidental College. Students also have the opportunity to register for both Winter and Spring GATE classes held at various BUSD campuses after school.
All second grade students will be universally screened for GATE. Teachers and parents may request all other students to be individually screened and tested for GATE.
