Physical Education

Our physical education program provides all students with a weekly opportunity to participate in standards-aligned movement.  Students participate in fun physical activities on Tuesdays, Fridays, and alternating Wednesdays. They keep fit, while also interacting with peers through:

  • Soccer
  • Basketball
  • Dance
  • Football
  • Court Hockey
  • Scoops and Flying Discs
  • Locomotor Movements
  • Fundamentals of Sports

Each year our fifth graders participate in physical fitness testing that measures their abilities through:

  • Sit ups
  • Pacer
  • Trunk Lift
  • Push ups
  • Sit and Reach
  • Shoulder Stretch

All students have a great time playing and learning new skills during P.E. each week.  They learn the value of teamwork as they are challenged to work together to accomplish a goal. Students develop sportsmanship skills, and enjoy working as a team.
